In 2022, I received an Excellence in Social Work Practice Award from the University of Pittsburgh. Before founding Cope Well Therapy, I worked as an outpatient therapist at the Philadelphia Center for Psychotherapy.
Welcome — I’m Julie Sokolow, LCSW. I work with adults who feel stressed, stuck, self-critical, or who are navigating a difficult chapter in their lives.
My clients often come to therapy because of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, relationship or family stress, or pressure from demanding academic or work environments. But therapy is not just about symptoms. It can also be a place to understand your patterns, improve communication, clarify what matters to you, and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
My style is kind, direct, and collaborative. I’ll help you look honestly at what’s going on while supporting you in making meaningful changes. Depending on your needs, our work may include methods like ACT, CBT, exposure-based therapies like ERP, or deeper exploration of your values, goals, and the experiences that shaped you.
In our work together, you can expect me to be engaged, thoughtful, and reliable — someone who can track the bigger picture while helping you gain clarity and move forward.
Based in South Jersey, just outside Philadelphia, I provide telehealth therapy to adults across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, the Main Line, Swarthmore, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Haddonfield, and Princeton.
